The Indian Women in International Arbitration (IWIA) Group is a community of Indian women who currently work in or are interested in international arbitration and dispute resolution. Our mission is to promote and empower Indian women in the field of international arbitration.
The IWIA Group was founded in response to the need for greater representation of Indian women in international arbitration where they continue to be underrepresented despite their growing presence in the legal profession. We aim to provide a platform for Indian women practitioners in various jurisdictions to connect with each other, share knowledge and resources, and support each other in their professional development.
Our members come from a range of backgrounds and experiences, including law firms, corporations, international organizations, and academia. We are united by our passion for international arbitration and our commitment to advancing gender and racial diversity and inclusion in the field.
As a member of IWIA, you will have access to a range of benefits, including networking opportunities, access to exclusive events and workshops, mentorship and career development support, and opportunities to participate in IWIA initiatives aimed at promoting greater gender diversity and empowering women in the field.
The IWIA Group is also committed to engaging with the broader community of practitioners, organizations, and institutions in the field of international arbitration. We believe that collaboration and dialogue are key to achieving our mission, and we welcome partnerships and collaborations with other organizations and initiatives that share our vision.
We invite individuals with an interest in promoting and connecting with Indian women in international arbitration and dispute resolution to join us as members of the IWIA Group. Together, we can build a more diverse, inclusive, and vibrant community of practitioners in international arbitration.
If you would like to join IWIA as a part of the steering committee or as a member, applications are now open!
